“Then Pilate said to the chief priests and and the crowds, ‘I find no guilt in this man.’” (Luke 23:4) This scene of Jesus standing before Pilate is filled with irony. Here is a mere man standing and giving judgment upon the Son of God. At least he got the proclamation correct, even if he did bow to the pressure to have Jesus crucified.
