Tommie Hearn, 76, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on December 12, 2025, at Ochsner Rush Hospital.
She was born on July 7, 1949, to Tom and Ruth (McGhee) Gentry in Aberdeen, MS.
Tommie was a devoted wife for 49 years. She was also a loving mother and granny. Tommie enjoyed working in her yard, especially with her flowers. She enjoyed browsing and shopping. She had her home decorated in southern decor and loved it.
Tommie is survived by her sons, Matthew (Leah) Hearn and James (Mae) Hearn; granddaughter, Elizabeth Hearn; grandson, Noah Hearn; and sister, Judy (Tommy) Carter.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Ford Gentry; mother, Ruth Gentry; husband, James H. Hearn; and sister, Joyce Bolin.
Pallbearers will include Sidney Hearn, Scottie Hearn, Brad Hearn, Ryan Hearn, Derrick Hearn, and Ernie Culbreth.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the McGowan's Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Kennedy officiating.
Burial will take place in the McGowan's Chapel Cemetery.
