The Golden Royales of Quitman, dominated the "Move to the Beat" competition in Rayne, LA. The varsity and jr. varsity teams collectively won the Grand Championship Trophy, including 1st Place (Jr. Varsity) Stand Battle, 1st Place Creative Dance (Combined), 3rd Place (Varsity) Parade.
The Golden Royales Dance Team has been performing for two years. Director Kaila Lawson and Assistant Porche Jones are very proud of the girls and the support from the parents and the community.
The Royales will be hosting their own competition, “The Bad & Boujee” Majorette Dance Competition scheduled for April 29, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the National Guard Building in Quitman. Deadline to sign up with teams is the 9th of April. Registration fee is $40.
