The last week of August, the Grand Jury met to observe and indict various cases. Out of the indictments, two cases in particular stand out: Ashley Granger and Michael Warner St. Pierre.
Michael St. Pierre was taken into custody on June 8, 2020, for the exploitation of a child. A mother going through her child’s phone found concerning messages from St. Pierre and reported them to the authorities. After authorities conducted an investigation, St. Pierre was found to have enticed a child under the age of 18 to send nude photos.
“It’s disgusting. For many people, it’s hard to believe something like this can occur in our little town, but it can happen anywhere,” stated Investigator Ryan Evans. “Hopefully, this will open parents’ eyes to be careful of what type of people their children are allowed to be in contact with and watch for changes in behavior.”
The case of Ashley Granger is a little older. On April 3, 2019, Ashley Granger was charged with the murder of Antonio Heard. At 3:44 a.m. that day, Granger called 911 stating that she had accidentally stabbed her boyfriend. Once officers arrived to the scene, they found Heard unresponsive with a stab wound to the chest; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
