Old Enterprise Baptist Church dedicated 300 Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Gifts and recognized veterans and military men and women in a prayer and thanksgiving service on Sunday at the 9:00 a.m.
The congregation, led by Mrs. Annie Burns, recited a litany in honor of veterans. As Ms. Aa'Keela Hudnall played soft music, "Prayer for Justice" by Mrs. Mary Catchings, "Prayer for God's Reign" by Robert Ross, "Prayer for Those in Military Service" by Mrs. Shirley Daviss, and "Prayer for Peace" by Mrs. Beverly Burns were offered.
The litany of dedication of 300 Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Gifts was led by Mrs. Johnnie Thurman, and Pastor Marvin Evans offered the prayer of dedication.
Mrs. Martha Ross presented to Mrs. Hattie D. Lott a plaque in appreciation for her dedication to church and community and to thank her for introducing Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child as a foreign mission project at Old Enterprise Baptist Church 14 years ago.
