Ribbon Cutting held for The Sweet Shop
The Sweet Shop held a ribbon cutting on Saturday, December 3rd for the opening of the new bakery located at 114 Water Street, beside Quitman Public Library. Ms. Brenda Powe, owner, welcomed guests to the ribbon cutting. Elder Willie Burrage offered the invocation followed by a welcome from Quitman Mayor Eddie Fulton and Chamber of Commerce President Lynnita Bartee. The Sweet Shop is opened Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Wednesday and Saturday from 6 a.m. till 1 p.m. Pictured are: Latonya Carrington, JoAnn Ross, Ann Potuk, Lynnita Bartee, Brenda Powe, Carolyn Dunlap, Elder Burge, Mayor Eddie Fulton and Elder Whitehead.
