Sumrall Park in Quitman will be closed June 13 – June 24th so that county officials can repair damage done from the recent vandalism at the park.
Law officials plan to seek prosecution to those responsible for the damage.
The reported damage was spray painted graffiti in the bathrooms and outside walls, broken toilets, electrical damage to the soft drink machine and damage to the pavilion.

Hard work and dedication from city and county officials and countless volunteers, worked diligently to build a park for the area youth. The beautiful park was built so that the children in the community would have a safe, beautiful place.
