The 7th Annual MLK “Unity” Parade will be held Saturday, January 14 in Quitman. Come one, come all - a community coming together celebrating Love, Peace, Hope & Unity.
This year’s theme is A Salute to Nurses with Grand Marshall/Speaker Ms. Kenyatta Pearson.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. from the Quitman Fire Department to the Quitman Upper Elementary Gymnatorium. Enter your float for $25. Call Sherry Pickens 601-616-2021. First Place-$150, Second Place-$100, and Third Place-$50.

Featuring: The 93 pc. Simmons High School Blue Nation Style Marching Band of Hollinsdale, MS, the Port Gipson Band and Holmes County Band. Other special guests include: The QHS Band, the QJHS Band, and JROTC, songs by Mr. Eddie Athey and Isaiah Satcher, the Slow & Easy Antique Car Club, and performances by The Golden Royales and The Queen “TaNiya.”
