Gloria Lauren Breland graduated Suma Cum Laude in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alabama.
She immediately was accepted into the University of Alabama School of Law where she was a member of the Trial Advocacy Competition Team and vice president of the UA Law Bar Association. She received her juris doctorate in May 2015 and went on to clerk for the circuit judge in Huntsville, AL, for a year.
Lauren recently took a position as assistant deputy district attorney in Jefferson County, AL.
Another accomplishment Lauren has on her resume is that her undergraduate manuscript was published in the Journal of Health and Aging in 2013.
She is the daughter of Martha and Devin Harris and the granddaughter of Judy Blackwell and the late Randy Blackwell of Quitman.
