The Enterprise Bulldogs look to rebound from a 26-8 loss to Scott Central and start their division play with a win. Enterprise faces off against their long standing rivals the Clarkdale Bulldogs.
Enterprise receives the ball to start the first half and takes the ball at the 34-yard line. Enterprise cannot put anything together on the first drive as Clarkdale forces a three and out. Clarkdale takes over on their own 39-yard line. Clarkdale’s first play from scrimmage looks promising as it goes for 8 yards, but two fumbled snaps make it 4th and long. Clarkdale’s punt only gets back to the 39, as Enterprise takes over with great field position.
On the second play of the drive, Derrick Moore takes the ball in for a 32-yard touchdown run. The two-point conversion is stopped, and Enterprise takes the lead 6-0. Clarkdale looks to answer back as they start with the ball on the 42-yard line. Their drive is cut short when they fumble on the third play, and give Enterprise the ball on the 49-yard line. Enterprise can't capitalize on the fumble as they go for it on 4th and 8 and are unable to convert.
Clarkdale gets the ball at the 43 and is forced to punt after a short burst of offense. Enterprise takes over at the 23-yard line as the first quarter draws to a close.
Enterprise works their way across the 50 to the 42-yard line where the drive is capped off with a big touchdown run by Chris Millsap. The two-point conversion is good, and Enterprise leads 14-0. The kickoff goes out of bounds, so Clarkdale starts with the ball on the 40.
On 3rd and 7, Clarkdale goes for a deep shot downfield, and the ball is picked off by Caleb Snider, but a roughing the passer penalty gives Clarkdale the ball back on the 27-yard line. The Enterprise defense puts up a stand as they force a 4th down situation. Clarkdale goes for it, but the ball is picked off once again by Caleb Snider.
Enterprise starts with the ball at their own 10-yard line. After Enterprise drives the ball into Clarkdale territory, Lane Kennedy breaks a 44 yard touchdown run to add to the lead. The PAT is blocked, and Enterprise leads 20-0.
Clarkdale starts the drive with the ball on the 42-yard line. On the first play of the drive, Derrick Moore forces a fumble, and it is recovered by Cameron Keith and taken to the 30-yard line. Enterprise starts the drive with great field position. On the first play, Dalton Baxley throws a 29 yard pass to Derrick Moore to put the ball on the 1-yard line. Derrick Moore then punches it in for a touchdown. The two-point conversion is no good, and Enterprise is ahead 26-0.
Clarkdale starts with the ball on the 45-yard line. Clarkdale is unable to score before the half ,and the score stands at 26-0 Enterprise.
Clarkdale receives to start the second half and returns the ball to the 40-yard line. Clarkdale drives down the field and finally gets on the board with a 15 yard touchdown run by #4. The two-point conversion is no good, making the score 26-6.
Clarkdale attempts an onside kick, but it is recovered by Enterprise. Enterprise then drives a short ways downfield and ends with a 37 yard touchdown run by Derrick Moore. The two-point conversion is good, and Enterprise leads 34-6. Clarkdale takes the ball to the 39-yard line on the kickoff. Enterprise forces a quick 4th down situation where Clarkdale tries a fake punt but cannot complete the pass.
Enterprise takes over on the 42-yard line. On the second play of the drive, a flag brings back a would be Derrick Moore touchdown. On the next play however, Dalton Baxley connects with Derrick Moore on a 41 yard touchdown pass. The PAT is good making it 41-6 Enterprise. Clarkdale takes the kickoff to the 37-yard line.
On the first play #14’s pass is picked off by Eli Wakeford-Smith and taken to the 6-yard line. A penalty on the return puts Enterprise all the way at the 44-yard line. Enterprise gets the ball down to the 23-yard line as the fourth quarter starts. A 4th and long situation comes up for Enterprise. They call on Zach Kyle for a 26 yard touchdown run. The PAT is good, and Enterprise makes the score 48-6.
Clarkdale takes the following kickoff to the 42-yard line. Clarkdale manages to drive down the field and score off a 1 yard touchdown run by #1. The two-point conversion is good and that makes the score 48-14. Enterprise fields the kickoff and runs out the clock to seal a 48-14 victory over Clarkdale.
Enterprise faces Union this Friday night in Union.
