“Always wear a smile on your face,” advised Regina Rolison. “Trust in the Lord, and be there for your family. It’s easier to smile than it is to frown, and one day that smile just might make somebody’s day. I always do my best to wear a smile on my face. Even though you go through troubles of your own, there is always somebody out there who has it worse. Just always wear that smile on your face, and thank the Lord for every day.”
Regina Rolison brightens the day for many people with her kindness and desire to assist others. She loves her job and does everything she can to be a blessing to everyone she meets while at work.
“I work at The Pharmacy of Quitman. I’ve been there for 14 years, and I love my job. I’m customer service/tech at The Pharmacy. I have different duties that I do,” explained Regina. “I love waiting on people and interacting with people. I just love being with people. I wait on a lot of the elderly there, and I believe in being kind to them because one day you may be there. I love helping people and checking them out. I’ll put the prescriptions in when people bring them. I’ll help people with things they need out in the store and giving the advice that I can. I just love people, being with people, and interacting with people.”
Although people know her well from seeing her at The Pharmacy, Regina did not originally grow up in Clarke County.
“When I was growing up, I lived in Meridian. I was born and raised in Meridian and moved to Clarke County when I was 17 years old,” recalled Regina. “As I was growing up, I have a lot of memories spending at the skating rink. I loved to skate all weekend long. We used to go swimming, camping, and skiing all the time. I loved that.”
As she got older, she found other things that she enjoyed doing as well.
“I loved riding a motorcycle,” Regina reminisced. “I loved riding Harley trikes. I rode for six years and eight months with a wonderful guy, but he passed away from cancer.”
While she doesn’t ride motorcycles anymore, she does have a talent that she enjoys cultivating.
“I love dealing with flowers and planting every year,” expressed Regina. “I have a green thumb, and I love collecting flags and decorating.”
She uses her talent in her home, which she assisted in remodeling when it was first purchased.
“I love where I live. My second husband, Ronnie Rolison, bought this house in 2007 when we were seeing each other and started stripping it down and redoing it,” informed Regina. “I helped him. I painted the inside, and he painted the outside. We worked together, we got married, and we moved in. I love this home. My home has special memories and holds a special place in my heart.”
No matter what she has gone through over the years, she is thankful for her family and friends. She loves them and feels blessed no matter what circumstances she has gone through.
“I’ve always loved being with my family and doing things together through the years,” proclaimed Regina. “I’ve had a tough road through life, but the Lord has given me faith to make it through everything. He’s blessed me gracefully, and I’m thankful for the family and friends I have. I have a wonderful family, and I love them so much. I have two kids and four grandkids, and they are my heart. I love going and doing things with them.”
She doesn’t allow her optimism fade away and shares her joy and love with others through her actions each day. No matter what happens, it can be guaranteed that she will make sure to have a smile and kind word to offer everyone she meets.
