Mississippi NICA is sponsoring a “Try-It-Out” mountain bike event on Saturday, August 23, at 9:30 a.m. from the multipurpose field at Clarkco State Park, located at 386 Clarke County Road in Quitman.
This event is free and for students in fifth through twelfth grades so that they can discover the basics of mountain biking by riding with riders and licensed mountain bike coaches from the East Mississippi Scorpions Composite Mountain Bike Team.
No prior experience is required, and everyone rides.
All you need in order to participate is your bike and helmet. If you don’t have a bike or helmet, it’s no problem! Just let NICA know ahead of time, and they will take care of it. A signed waiver will also be required. The waiver can be filled out at the event.
