Pastor Tony Volking and his son, George, are proud to announce the release of their cd entitled Healing Hands.
The first two songs, In the Right Place and Healing in Her Ways, were inspired by George’s illness as a child and his time and experiences spent in the hospital. “I think anyone who’s had a child in the hospital can identify with these songs,” stated Tony. “There’s a greater physician than us, but you’re in the right place, so send up a prayer.”
Healing Hands is about letting God touch your soul and allowing Him to do His work through you.
Cape Justments, according to Tony was a game his grandfather played with him when he was young.
In the Right Way is about being raised in church with your family and loving people in the right way.
Alexander the Great – This is about a man who lived here in Clarke County, Robert Alexander, who was a belly gunner in the war.
Grandpa’s Blue Christmas – My grandfather was a good Christian man. He was a happy man, but at Christmastime, he was always somber because his mother died a hard way right at Christmas.
“I hope this ministers to someone; it did me as I was doing the project,” said Volking.
Tony would like to give credit to George Volking, Marcus Linton, Roger Whoobry, and Jonathan Parkison for also contributing to the project.
