Eight beautiful, confident juniors will take center stage this weekend to showcase their talent, fitness level, interview skills, and academic success as they compete for multiple scholarships and the title of 2027 Clarke County Distinguished Young Woman.
The program is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 7, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Quitman High School auditorium.
General admission for the event will be $8, and programs will be available to purchase for $2.
Angie McLemore Boatner is returning to emcee the event again this year.
Star Cayer, the 2026 Clarke County Distinguished Young Woman, will provide entertainment for the evening by showcasing her excellent dancing skills.
By the end of the evening, one lovely lady will be declared the 2027 Clarke County Distinguished Young Woman. That young lady will go on to represent Clarke County at the State Program in July at the Evangel Temple in Meridian.
The Clarke County DYW Program is one of the top scholarship programs in the State of Mississippi. Last year, it awarded $13,700 in scholarships to five of the participants!
The scholarships are made possible thanks to the support of individuals and businesses throughout the community.
Come out this Saturday and support all eight of the amazing and talented young ladies as they demonstrate how hard they have worked. Although they have worked hard with everything they have learned through the program over the last few months, they have also worked hard for years to excel in various talents and achieve academic success in the classroom.
Come out to the Quitman High School auditorium at 6:00 p.m. on February 7 and watch to see who will be crowned 2027 Clarke County Distinguished Young Woman!
