What a glorious Christmas this was weather wise. For almost an entire week, temperatures shot up into the mid-70s with mild winds and no rain. What a treat.
Several of these days neared the all-time 180-year record highs for those dates. Folks flocked outdoors and the walking trails were full of families getting exercise and enjoying God’s beauty.

Many people celebrate Christmas in different ways. While many families enjoy spending time with each other and children enjoy the surprise of Santa coming to visit, it is important to remember the true meaning of Christmas. In honor of the season, we have chosen to share a simple version of the Christmas story:
God sent an angel, Gabriel, to the city of Nazareth to speak with Mary. When Gabriel first appeared, Mary was troubled.

We never get a break from bad news. In recent days we have heard of people being killed at a Hanukkah celebration in Australia.
There have been more school shootings from Brown University to Kentucky State University. Russia continues to bomb Ukraine and groceries continue to assault Americans’ pocketbooks.

Merry, Merry Christmas to you! Today is Christmas Eve and tomorrow is the "Big" day, Christmas. There will be lots of celebrating with your family and friends. Jolly ole St. Nick will surely be busy tonight, Christmas Eve, making his rounds delivering toys/gifts to all the good little boys and girls.
I can remember how excited my boys were when they got up on Christmas morning and all the fun they had opening their gifts. Their eyes were lit up and big smiles on their faces. As they grew up, they knew the real reason was to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior.
