The Waverley Club met for the December meeting at the home of Toni Tageant. The Tageant house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and ladies were met with a cup of hot spiced punch and fruitcake before enjoying a lunch of ham with citrus cranberry relish, green bean bundles, Christmas salad, rolls, and homemade seasonal cookies for dessert. President Faith Bahm dispensed with meeting formalities and attendees instead enjoyed fellowship and games led by Anita Reviere.

Hi everyone, our December weather across the parish has a mixture of cold, rain and sunshine, thus far. The cold temperatures have (for the most part) given away to warmer temps, during the course of the day. I’m grateful for it all.
The Village of Angie’s Annual Christmas Parade with Washington Parish FD #5 rolled on Saturday, December 6th. The 2025 Grand Marshall was Mrs. Myra N. Magee. Mrs. Magee is the Owner/Operator of Pride and Hope Ministry Family Support Services based in Angie, LA.

It is beginning to look a LOT like Christmas! Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. I love the colors, music, trees, and family time. It is always fun singing Christmas tunes, decorating, and just being together. I know that it can be a hard time of year for some as well. Just know that no matter how you feel this Christmas season, you are loved, and Jesus was born for us to live in such a time as this. I read something a while back about being “nervous about having kids during this time in the world”.

“If you don’t have Christ in your life, you’re missing out,” advised Judy McNeil. “He completes you. He makes you whole. He stands beside you and lifts you up when you fall down. He is everything. Just be happy. Don’t sit around and worry about stuff all the time.”
Over the years, Judy McNeil has discovered just how vital God is in her life. She feels blessed and gives Him the credit for helping her overcome many of the obstacles she has faced.
She has always had a large family and has many wonderful memories with them from the time she was just a young girl.
