Carroll Porter, 81, of Rose Hill, Mississippi, passed away on May 21, 2023, at her residence.
She was born on July 3, 1941, to Daniel Walker and Evelyn (Anderson) Rogers in Mobile, AL.
Carroll was a longtime member of Quitman Church of Christ. She was a loving mother and grandmother that loved spending time with her family.
Carroll is survived by her two daughters, Sherry (Jean Whaley) Hayes and Kelly (Allan Black) McQueen; three grandchildren, Joshua Hayes, Samuel McQueen, and Kimberly West; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kim (Chris) Bufalo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Walker; mother, Evelyn Rogers; grandmother, Verna Bufkin; husband, John Porter, Sr.; son, Michael Hayes; and a sister, Faye Lancaster.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, 3:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home with Mark Hudson officiating.
Burial will take place in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
