Foley Doggett was recently crowned Clarke County’s Miss Hospitality for 2025.
She loves Clarke County and chose to compete for Miss Hospitality in order to do what she loves and benefit the community at the same time.
“I went to Enterprise my whole life. I was born and raised here, and I’ve grown to have a very special bond with this place. I’m just so thankful for Clarke County and my hometown,” explained Foley. “What inspired me to do Miss Hospitality is one of my best friends was doing Miss Teen Lauderdale. I’ve always loved pageants and wanted to do stuff like that. Seeing her do that inspired me to get in touch and see what I could do around here. I was already following Laura Kate, Clarke County’s Miss Hospitality, but I never thought I could do something like this. I was just nervous. I got in touch with my friend, and she mentioned Miss Hospitality and told me that Meridian, Lauderdale, and Clarke were under the same director, and she put me in contact with Ms. Penny. Ms. Penny and I started talking, and I filled out all the applications and told a little about myself. Then, she text me to let me know I was getting crowned, and I was really excited. I didn’t believe it at first. It’s already been so fun. The directors really love us, and there is already like a sisterhood between the Meridian and Lauderdale ones and me. I’m really excited for state so I can meet more people.”
Once she was crowned, she was able to select an individual to be her little sister.
“I picked Annlee Kitchens to be my little sister,” expressed Foley. “I’ve known her family for a little while. When I was thinking of people, she came to my mind. When I started contacting her mom about it, I just knew that it felt right. She’s a very sweet little girl and is in the second grade at Enterprise. She’s really excited for it, and that makes me happy.”
Now that she holds the title for Miss Hospitality, she will be doing everything she can to help promote tourism in Clarke County and the different businesses in the area to help with economic development.
“The goal of Miss Hospitality is to promote tourism and economic development. I’ll be doing anything I can to promote any of those or help the community in any way at all,” declared Foley. “I’ll be doing any events I can to support Clarke County, such as the reenactments and stuff like that, 5k runs, and anything that I can attend to help show support for tourism and promote Clarke County. I’ll also be going around and taking pictures and supporting local owned small businesses around here.”
She has already begun to try and find different ways she can assist businesses in the area.
“I’ve been trying to reach out to some people and see what I can do. I’ve been seeing if they need me to come make posts or if there is anything else I can do to help them,” informed Foley. “The Cozy Closet that just opened in Enterprise is having a permanent jewelry event that they want me to go to. I don’t have anything major planned right now, but it’s all in the works. I’ll be doing things as simple as going to Archusa and posting fun facts about Archusa or Clarkco or anywhere in Clarke County. I’m just going to be trying to bring people and learn more about the county.”
While she is striving to promote the area, she will also be working hard to complete everything she needs to accomplish before the State Miss Hospitality competition that will take place in July.
“The week of July 13-19 is when all of the girls will be there, and the 18th and 19th is when we will actually be performing for the state title,” explained Foley. “I’m so excited for that. I’m just excited to meet everyone and make some friendships. I’m also excited for the competition and to just express myself on stage. We have to come up with a commercial and some kind of slogan for the county that is a little rhyme and cute little saying that will represent the county well and try to bring people in.”
She is excited to represent Clarke County and has some advice and encouragement for any other young ladies who may want to consider becoming Miss Hospitality in the future.
“Never be scared to go after it,” encouraged Foley. “This is a really amazing program. It makes you feel good, and the people are so sweet. It’s taught me so many things already. Always believe in yourself and just embrace what makes you different from others. Never think that you are not enough.”
Her first grand debut was at the Clarke County Mardi Gras Parade, but she is going to be at many more events and businesses in the county throughout the year. With her determination and optimistic attitude, she will represent Clarke County well and do her best to bring in tourism and have a positive impact on economic development in the area.
