Lola Ruth Rolison Galyean, 99, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on April 9, 2023, at Wisteria Manor.
She was born on September 24, 1923, to Charlie and Allie (Riley) Callahan in Clarke County , MS.
Lola Ruth was a member of Union Baptist Church where she enjoyed working in the nursery, teaching G. A.s, singing in the choir, and being the Secretary/Treasurer of the Church Cemetery Committee. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to the Lord and her kindness to her fellow church members through her card ministry. She retired from Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center after many years of service. She was also a Certified Hospital Sitter.
Lola is survived by her son-in-law, Bobby Joe Moulds; sister-in-law, Ann Davis Callahan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie N. Callahan; mother, Allie Riley Callahan; first husband of 51 years, Paul Lamar Rolison; second husband , Harlin Galyean; daughter, Janice Rolison Moulds; and three brothers, Paul Callahan, Earl Callahan, and Lamar Callahan.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Meridian, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Marcus Finch and Rev.Jason Perault officiating.
Burial took place in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wisteria Manor for the care and patience shown to Mrs. Galyean during her stay there.
