Enterprise continued to make history last Friday night as they hosted the schools first ever 3A playoff game against the Seminary Bulldogs. With Enterprise coming off a blowout victory last game against Forest, the Bulldogs continued their dominance with a quick touchdown by Zee Sims for an early 7-0 lead. Seminary put up a surprising defensive battle but couldn't stop a near 40 yard pass to Zee Sims at the end of the first.
Enterprise started off hot in the first minute of the second quarter as once again Zee Sims popped one in for six with the PAT good. The Bulldogs didn’t let off the brakes as Derryon Gray made a rush for the endzone for his first touchdown of the day and another PAT was good. After a huge fourth down sack to stop Seminary, Gavyn Dear set up a long first and goal for the go ahead touchdown by Derryon Gray. Enterprise held on to a confident 28-0 lead over Seminary heading into halftime.
Bulldog fans confident, Seminary came out of nowhere with a defensive and scoreless third quarter that put some life into the Seminary sideline. The visiting Bulldogs hopes were immediately crushed as early in the fourth, Zee Sims dashed into the endzone and the PAT was good. Just as Seminary attempted to end the 35-0 shut out, Isaiah Baum tipped and picked off the ball on the line of scrimmage, returning it back to the 23 yard line. Coming off the near pick six, Gavyn Dear cruised from an outside run for yet another Bulldog touchdown. Seminary stayed persistent as they finally found the endzone for six, just a few plays later. L.J. Davis field erupted into cheers and screams as the Enterprise Bulldogs dominated the first round of the playoffs by a score of 42-7.
