Hey Rocky! Great to see you are doing well.
Hey Rocky! The Rocky House was on display at the Quitman Public Library from June 19 through July 10. Rocky made an appearance during the Summer Reading Program and said "Hey!" to a room packed full of kids.
When speaking with Barbra O'Neil, the librarian, to setup a photo opp with Rocky, she said he was not available and inadvertently told me of an "allergic reaction" incident which happened after Rocky first arrived in Quitman. Speaking with Rocky he said:
"It was nothing! I'm okay. If you were carted around the state of Mississippi in a box, all cramped and dark, you would probably give someone out of millions of people and fans an "allergic reaction" too. That's probably the same thing that happened with Pandora."
Rocky winked at me and added, "You know about Pandora's box don't you. When it was opened all the evils and demons came rushing out, leaving only HOPE in the box. Well, when my box was opened, I figure some of 'em evil demons from Pandora's box got out. But I'm fine! Fit as a fiddle playing Disney character.
Rocky gave the a photo opp and as you can see from the photo below, Rocky is just fine. He even mention that he had been scrubbed and washed and disinfected by a lovely dog groomer and felt perfectly fine. The washing was done just to be sure no Covid bugs had gotten on him or into his box.
When I tried to inquire further about the "allergic reaction" Rocky said, "I have my HIPPA rights, too, you know. You should not ask a hard working and caring dog about such things. Fleas and heartworms are the worst, but I ain't got 'em either. Arf! Arf!"
I thanked Rocky for taking time from his busy schedule to let me get a photograph of him beside Rocky's House. As you can see from the photograph, Rocky is just fine.
In parting Rocky added, "Arf! Arf! Remember to talk to your children and help them to learn how to read and write. And most importantly, teach your kids how to love and respect life! Arf! Arf!"
