Nurse Practitioner Bobby Harris is thrilled to open NP House Calls, LLC in Quitman at the beginning of March.
For 18 months, he has diligently worked to be able to start up the business. Although he did receive advice and encouragement from Wendall Carney while going through the process, the company is not affiliated with Wendall or his previous office, Nurse Practitioner House Calls and Clinics.
He is taking new patients in Clarke, Lauderdale, Wayne, Jasper, Newton, and Scott counties. His service allows him to provide care for patients who are unable to get out and see their primary care physician. He is able to do primary care, acute care visits, home health service, and collect routine labs and do swabs for different illnesses such as flu, covid, and strep. He also offers concierge services that can benefit everyone, regardless of whether they have insurance or not. His overall goal is simply to help meet a need that he sees in the community.
“Our collaborating physician is Dr. DeLoach who actually own the DeLoach Family Clinic here in Quitman,” explained Bobby. “I’m not here to take any of his patients. The goal of NP House Calls, LLC is to help people who can’t get to the clinics. It’s to provide a service for the community.”
Although the primary purpose of the business is to conduct house calls, he does have a physical office location for anyone who would prefer to meet him at an office instead. His office is located at 109 East Donald St., Suite 3 in Quitman. All visits are by appointment only.
He has an extensive history in the medical field and is ecstatic to be able to use his experience to help better serve the community.
“Starting out in the medical field, I was a pharmacy tech for years at Anderson’s hospital. I spent 20 years on the ambulance as a paramedic. I was the first paramedic to do the paramedic to RN transition at MCC,” informed Bobby. “I worked in ICU for up to seven years and then just worked my way up through NP school. I’ve been a nurse practitioner since 2019 and have done family and acute care. I worked urgent care, I worked hospital medicine, and I worked emergency medicine.”
Along with his new business, he also works at different hospitals.
“I work in Grenada, Mississippi, at UMC Granada every other week right now. I’m doing hospital medicine,” continued Bobby. “I work three or four nights on the opposite weeks at Anderson’s in the ER.”
His strong medical history allows him to provide patients with the great care that they deserve.
