Ruby N. Mosley, 89, of Vossburg, Mississippi, passed away on June 7, 2025, at Bedford Care Center of Newton.
She was born on October 5, 1935, to Charlie and Nora (Ivy) Cox in Quitman, MS.
Ruby was a loving wife for 50+ years. She adored her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruby enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether she was tending to her flower garden or just doing yard work. She loved all outdoor activities. Ruby also enjoyed taking care of her "yard animals," which included her chickens and turkeys. She loved her dog, Sadie. Ruby loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She loved the Lord and was a member of Knight's Valley Baptist Church for more than 40 years. She was also a very hard worker and had a strong work ethic, which she taught to her children and grandchildren.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ivey Sneed; sons, Kenneth Ray Mosley (Connie), Dennis Keith (Betty) Mosley, and Herman Ray (Mary) Mosley, Jr.; sisters, Catherine Mosley and Christine Pool; grandsons, Dustin (Melissa) Ivey, Harlon Ivey, Kendall I. Mosley, Daniel Mosley, Malcolm Heath (Samantha) McDaniel, and Danny Dial; granddaughters, Amanda (Keith) Robinson, Misty Mosley Cook, Sydney (Jacob) Chancellor; 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Cox; mother, Nora Cox; brothers, Irby Cox, Buddy Cox, Richard Cox, Jack Cox, and Pete Cox; sisters, Nora Williams, Polly Ray, Velma Culpepper, and Eula Thomas; and her husband, Herman Ray Mosley, Sr.
Pallbearers included Dusty Ivey, Harlon Ivey, Kendall Mosley, Daniel Mosley, Jarod Ivey, and Chris Ivey.
Honorary pallbearers included Alec Ivey and Keith Robinson.
Visitation was held Monday, June 9, 2025, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Davis officiating.
Burial will take place in the Goodwater Cemetery.
