Mississippi State hired New Mexico State coach Chris Jans to lead the Bulldogs men's basketball program. Jans is a three time WAC Coach of the Year and owns an impressive 143-44 record in his six seasons. Jans led New Mexico State to three NCAA tournaments during his tenure in Las Cruces.

Bentley Wins World Series

Ashley Bentley has successfully won first place in the World Series. This World Series doesn’t involve baseball, though. Instead, it is the World Series for team roping.
She has been team roping for years and has been very successful with it over the years.

Quitman Archery Team Headed to South State Qualifier

The Quitman Archery team is working hard this year. Quitman Archers won their last three matches against Newton County, Northeast Lauderdale, and Lamar. Top scores in high school were Josh Ivy and Kya Reeves. Top scores in the junior high were Caden White and Brenna Bohannon.
