The Farmer’s market will take place on Saturday, August 19, at Mary Carter Park in Quitman. Parking will be available at BankPlus and the Eye Clinic. The vendors will be set up in the park, and the side street will be closed, and vendors will be set up there also.

One young person from Clarke County, Katie Rose Newburn, recently did a lemonade stand fund raiser to raise money for St. Jude. Katie’s mother, Heather Newburn, discovered the idea and thought it would be the perfect learning opportunity for Katie Rose.

4-H Livestock Club

There will be a 4-H Livestock Club meeting on Tuesday, August 15, at 6:00 p.m. at the Clarke County Extension Office. It is very important that all livestock families attend this meeting since it is the first meeting of the new show year. The youth will have an input, so exhibitors are welcome to attend.
