When I was in Junior High School in Sarasota, FL, McDonald’s hamburgers were 15 cents. When I was in High School in Laurel, MS, $5.00 would allow me to take a date to a movie, buy popcorn and a soda, go to the DQ afterwards buying a milkshake and hamburger, and put a dollar’s worth of gas in the family car.
