No. 5 Bulldogs rally past No. 10 Bobcats, 27-20

The 5th-ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs trailed 10th-ranked Jones College 20-13 midway through the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs then put together touchdown drives of 80 and 96 yards in the final 5:59 to post a 27-20 victory over the Bobcats here Thursday night at A.L. May Memorial Stadium.

Defending national champion Bobcats open season Thursday

The Bobcats captured the NJCAA Division II championship with an impressive run in the tournament in Tucson, Arizona.

No. 14 Bobcats host Mississippi Delta in season opener

No. 14 Jones College opens the 2024 season against a familiar opponent.

Mississippi Delta makes the long trip down from Moorhead for the second straight season. Last year, the Trojans shocked the then No. 4-rated Bobcats, 36-33. Jones was 6-1 at the time and MDCC was only 1-6.

Eighty-six Bobcats named to MACCC All-Academics teams

The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) has released the 2023-24 academic award recipients.

Eighty-six Jones College student-athletes have been selected Distinguished Academic All-MACCC (3.8-4.0 GPA) and Academic All-MACCC (3.25-3.79).
