No-hit into the sixth inning in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader at Mississippi Delta, Jones College exploded for 12 runs in the sixth to rally for a 16-6 win and then won 9-5 to complete the sweep.

Jones improved to 35-11, 17-7 MACCC while MDCC fell to 15-23, 7-9 MACCC.

No. 8 Bobcats put up 26 runs in win over Northeast

Eighth-ranked Jones College piled up the runs in game one of a doubleheader here Saturday afternoon at Community Bank Park.

The Bobcats blasted Northeast 26-3 in seven innings in the opener. It was a different type of game in the nightcap, but Jones prevailed, 3-1.

No. 11 Jones College went 1-2 vs. three top 20 opponents here over the weekend in Sumter Invitational.

On Friday, Jones lost 5-4 to No. 10 Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Georgia) and 5-4 to host No. 14 USC-Sumter. On Saturday, the Bobcats shut out No. 16 Harford College (Maryland), 9-0.

No. 7 Bobcats bounce back to crush Southwest, 21-1

Seventh-ranked Jones College responded in a big way from a loss.

The Bobcats crushed Southwest 21-1 in game two here Wednesday evening at Community Bank Park. In the opener, the Bears got a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning to surprise Jones, 9-8.
