The many fans of Jay Leno may have watched him late night on the Jay Leno Tonight television show or they tuned in to Jay Leno’s Garage, where Leno showed off all kinds of cars that one may have never seen. On October 7, 2022, Jay Leno came to perform stand-up comedy at the MSU Riley Center for Education and Performing Arts. According to TMZ, one of Leno's favorite pastimes is to work on his old cars in his garage on the 12th of November, Leno was working on the fuel line of a 1907 White Steam Car. According to a TMZ report, the fuel line built pressure and ruptured, spraying gasoline all over Leno’s arm, both hands, and the left side of his face before catching on fire. Leno was rushed to the Grossman Burn Center in West Hills, California where he was placed in the burn ward under intensive care in the hospital’s hyperbaric chamber. Leno stayed in the hospital for 9 days. According to the Grossman Burn Center, Leno had extensive damage to both hands, upper chest, left arm, and left face. Leno underwent multiple skin grafts and removed any unhealthy tissue from his body. Leno will receive after care for his burns. The hospital added, the first thing Jay was looking forward to doing when he got out of the hospital was to spend time with Friends and Family for their Thanksgiving Dinner. One would be afraid to go back to the garage, but not Leno. Leno returned to his garage after being released from the hospital 10 days after the incident, but we won't fault him for working on something other than an 1907 White Steam Car.
